Removing bad software gets trickier, and it is best left to your consulting the vendors in question, other than Mackeeper, which I've linked above to how to remove. If you are backed up at least twice, we can suggest other things like repairing the directory, and checking the hardware test for errors. Repairing permissions through Disk Utility can help.

Stick to known software sites such as Apple's Mac App Store and software vendors themselves.ĭo not download updates because Adobe says there is an update available, go directly to Adobe's website to get the update. When it comes to slowdown, once your system is backed, you should make sure the hard drive isn't over 85% full.Īnti-virus, Mackeeper, firewall software are the worst, and really are not necessary unless you engage in risky behavior such as peer2peer software, and torrent reading. Suffice it to say, the only regular maintenance a Mac needs is backing up. The problem is that cache file cleaning of the system can actually lead to cache corruption. System cache cleaning, which is one of many of these vendors hallmark, actually slows it down!

We can only provide 60121, but it will give you new seals and some new spacer to complete repair of your MacClean.Īnd this is a partial list of models that can use the 60090 piston ( F ) and the 60121 Seal Kit ( E, minus end spacer ) we offer ( noting we don't have the large extra spacer in our kits ). That is why they call their Kit 60121-C ( proprietary version with that special wider spacer made for MacClean valves ). You must "re-use" their larger spacer and not the small white end spacer that comes in the 60121 kit.

The picture of the Seal Kit in the Fleck parts list shows a short spacer (part # 10757) as part of the Seals and Spacer Kit (part # 60121), however the Spacer in the MacClean Control valve is approx 1.5” long – any comments?

Note the "collar" used to "clamp on" to proprietary Tank ( which we also can not provide ).Ībove is the newer Uniflex Tank ( no threads ) that is proprietary.īelow are an old MacClean ( such as the CS1001 and CEC1000 series ) that uses the same Pistons and Seals as the Fleck 2500 Here are photos of the newer Proprietary version MacClean that we can NOT provide any parts for. Prior years used either Fleck 5600 ( RS, NS, NLS or NSM models ) or Fleck 2500 ( CSM models )type valves, and most parts under the Fleck repair parts category should match up.Ĭheck part numbers, and email us with PHOTOS, if you are not SURE about your MacClean Valve and parts identification.

The MacClean valves and tank are proprietary in design after 2001 ( bought out by CUNO, which in turn was bought out by 3M ).
